Comic: THEM CATS in Baggage
When strange dreams dump emotional baggage on loss, it’s time to let go
1
Me Cat: "I had a dream my luggage was busted open... and rusted."
Therapist Cat: "WOW."
2
Therapist Cat: "That's disturbing!"
3
Me Cat: "All my good clothes were gone and my boots!"
Therapist Cat: "So much lost!"
4
Me Cat: "Talk about letting go of baggage!"
Therapist Cat: "HA!"
Strange Dreams
Ever have a dream so strange your conscious mind is thinking, “This would not happen to me in real life!”
But sure enough, things like this do happen IRL.
In the end, things turned out okay. I asked Alaska Airlines if they too would like to see their panties—yes, I wear panties—out for all to see from a large crack in their luggage, and so they gave me a new piece of cheap luggage “to continue on with my journey.”
Then, dreams imitate life—but worse…
Let’s unpack this
Why did I get rusty luggage back, and why was it torn? What did the luggage represent?
Seriously, I freak out about my luggage so much, I write about it
More importantly, I’m very unhappy with my nibs (it’s a stylus tip) for my tablet. The text is too fat in some areas. Let’s also not worry about nibs. Or luggage.
Obviously, it’s a theme in 2018 too

Drawing above is talking about boundaries. There’s a lot going on, but I often sift the emotions into one image. I eliminate any accoutrements. This is why I am prone to doing minimalist illustrations like these.
(I still don’t know why my luggage was rusty in my dream on July 8th though)
All the stuff in my go bag—
These are all the things I’m not willing to let go of. Look—
What’s in my go bag?
Wallet, watch, phone, a 3-day supply of medicines, eye mask/ear plugs, rose water toner with colloidal silver, room spray, a magic pencil case with everything but the girl & Post It Notes, eye cream & eyebrow pencil, my reMarkable 2 table w/ folio cover, and my key fob with keys.
Call to any action—
What’s in your go bag? Have you ever had a nightmare about luggage? More importantly, what the fuck did it mean?

I just realized that either my renters or the ladies who clean the house have been stashing my mail somewhere. I can't find your dear postcard! I will look harder through closets. It's damn infuriating!
