How to: Use the Substack editor
This is the subtitle area. Here I go again, not making use of a template. This time? It's mine.
This is what a post looks like.
Block quotes will be the place where I will stick my poetry and good stuff.
Of course, you can also do bold, italic, links, and all that good stuff.
Oh. I need to keep this heading. It’s easy to mess up the spacing between headings and body text.
That “style” button isn’t my friend.

Galleries are gorgeous.
The divider is a necessary evil. See below.
Linking: All I have to do is paste my multiple links here.
Here’s a sampling of all the places I’m at and Visual Liquid is at.
1. Link to Tess on Medium
I have written quite a lot on PoetsUnlimited and my regular Medium page.
2. Link to the Passionistas: a Podcast on Passion, Creativity, and Finding Your Divine Spark
The Passionistas is a podcast where a co-host and I—this season, it’s Alessia Pope—interview some of the most creative people we’ve ever met. Then, they come back on the show to get their astrology chart read or a tarot reading.
3. Link to The Passionistas off of V.velox Ltd.
You have to think of V.velox Ltd. LLC as the Conde Nast of this media world of mine. It’s the genus/species name for Vulpes velox or swift fox in biological taxonomy. I thought to name my company after the swift fox because they live in Colorado, where they thrive. It’s where I went to college. I feel I began to thrive after I left LA.
4. Link to the Official Chat for Visual Liquid on Reddit.
It’s not on Discord. It’s on Reddit.
Embedded stuff…
Can I tell you how much I LOVE Kristin Wiig?
Editing
From here on out, I will do a better job at e-d-i-t-i-n-g. I’m the editor of an online publication. I should be an animal at this. Also, let’s talk about erasure. I don’t know why you want to delete things, but I’m beginning to see it’s a good thing.
Publishing Changes
You have two publishing options:
Publish – This publishes your post only on the web.
Publish & Send – this publishes your post to the web and simultaneously sends the post out by email.
That’s all.
If you don’t like this template I copied from Substack, talk to them instead. Visit the Help Center or contact support!
